YVAN & MODESTINE, YVES & HABI CASTANOU : TWO COUPLES PASTORALS, THE SAME VISION
Twin
brothers, pastors, and influential leaders, Yvan and Yves Castanou, along with
their wives Modestine and Habi, are two couples united by a shared conviction:
the Christian faith is not confined to the Church; it must impact family, work,
and society as a whole. They are not Siamese twins, but true twins in the
truest sense. Their resemblance and parallel paths are striking in their
singularity: the same origin, the same pastoral training, ordination on the
same day by the same spiritual leaders, and a shared commitment to ministry.
Together,
they have founded and developed a common vision of the Church since 2004,
representing more than two decades of shared dedication. The only notable
difference lies in their areas of operation: one primarily serves in
Congo-Brazzaville, while the other develops his ministry in France. As a saying
often used in these kinds of intertwined journeys underscores, what unites them
seems stronger than what separates them.

SERVING GOD AND TRANSFORMER THE COMPANY
WHEN
FAITH BECOMES A LIFE PROJECT
In the French-speaking
evangelical community, few families have left such a profound mark on their
generation as Yvan and Modestine Castanou, and Yves and Habi Castanou. Through
their pastoral commitment, leadership, and social activism, these two couples
embody a modern vision of Christianity, where spirituality, family,
professional excellence, and social impact go hand in hand. Their story is one
of an extraordinary family and spiritual journey. Twin brothers, Yvan and Yves
Castanou chose to dedicate their lives to the Gospel while pursuing remarkable
academic and professional careers. Alongside them, their respective wives,
Modestine and Habi Castanou, play a vital role in supporting families, women,
and Christian communities.
In the French-speaking
evangelical landscape, few families have marked their generation as much as the
couples Yvan and Modestine Castanou, as well as Yves and Habi Castanou.
As senior pastor of Impact
Centre Chrétien churches, Yvan Castanou is today one of the most influential
voices in French-speaking Christianity. Trained in theology in the United
Kingdom and then in Paris, he has been developing a ministry for over twenty
years focused on inner transformation, the development of human potential, and
the restoration of families. His sermons, broadcast in several countries in
Europe, Africa, and North America, encourage everyone to become an agent of
their own change. His message is based on strong values: discipline,
responsibility, faith, and excellence.
A prolific author, he has
written several books on personal and spiritual development, including *Enough
is Enough, Things Have to Change!* and *Thinking About Marriage? How to Make
the Right Choice?* His teaching approach combines biblical principles,
motivation, and individual responsibility. A passionate musician and
worshipper, he also leads praise and worship services during which many members
share profound spiritual experiences. Academically, he is a graduate of the
former Reims Management School, holding a two-year university diploma in
Business and Administration and a two-year university diploma in Mathematics.
This background partly explains his structured and modern approach to pastoral
leadership.
Alongside him, Modestine
Castanou brings a particularly valued complementary dimension. A clinical
psychologist by training and a human resources specialist, she is actively
involved in supporting women. couples and families.
As head of the Women of
Impact ministry, she works to empower women, strengthen self-esteem, and
promote family balance. Her interventions regularly address topics related to
psychological well-being, emotional management, child-rearing, and relationship
health. In a context where anxiety disorders, marital conflicts, and
educational challenges are a concern for many families, their complementary
expertise emerges as a true strength in the service of restoring lives.
YVES
AND HABI CASTANOU: EXCELLENCE IN THE SERVICE OF FAITH AND DEVELOPMENT
Yves Castanou's career
perfectly illustrates the intersection of spirituality, leadership, and
innovation. A graduate engineer from Polytechnique Montréal, an entrepreneur,
and a recognized leader in the telecommunications sector, he is among the key
players in the digital transformation of Congo-Brazzaville.
After having headed the
Agency for the Regulation of Posts and Electronic Communications (ARPCE), he
now holds the position of Director General of Congo Telecom.
In this strategic role, he
leads the development of the country's digital infrastructure and contributes
to strengthening connectivity, access to digital services, and national
technological sovereignty. But beyond his technical and managerial
responsibilities, Yves Castanou remains deeply committed to pastoral ministry.
Co-founder of Impact Centre Chrétien (ICC),
He regularly shares a
message based on integrity, professional excellence, and civic responsibility.
Through his teachings, he encourages believers to use their faith as a lever
for positive impact in their professional, social, and family environments.
Alongside him, Habi
Castanou, affectionately known as "Miss Marvel," is deeply involved
in the spiritual and personal development of the faithful. Her discreet yet
unwavering commitment helps strengthen the community and family initiatives
within the ministry. Together, they foster a faith that is expressed concretely
in daily life, work, social engagement, and respect for human values.
A
HOLISTIC APPROACH TO WELL-BEING
What unites the two couples
is their conviction that a person's health is not simply the absence of
illness. Their teachings promote a holistic view of the human being, where
spiritual, emotional, familial, social, and professional well-being are
intimately linked. This approach resonates with numerous public health studies
that emphasize the importance of social support, family stability,
psychological resilience, and a sense of purpose in maintaining well-being.
Through their lectures, training programs, and community initiatives, they
contribute to promoting values that foster the prevention of psychological
suffering, personal development, and collective flourishing.
Yvan Castanou, senior pastor of Impact Centre Chrétien
churches, is today one of the most influential voices in French-speaking
Christianity.
AN INFLUENCE THAT EXTENDS BEYOND
THE WALLS OF THE CHURCH
Today, Yvan and Modestine
Castanou, along with Yves and Habi Castanou, embody far more than just figures
in the evangelical world. Through their respective commitments, they represent
a generation of African leaders capable of combining spirituality, professional
excellence, responsible governance, and social impact. Their influence extends
well beyond the Christian communities they serve. Through their teaching,
training programs, support for families, commitment to youth, and involvement
in the economic and institutional spheres, they contribute to shaping a vision
of leadership based on values, responsibility, and service.
As head of the Women of Impact ministry, she works for
women's empowerment, strengthening self-esteem and family balance.
Their journey illustrates
the emergence of a dynamic, ambitious, and resolutely forward-looking Francophone
Africa. An Africa that believes in the power of education, innovation, and
entrepreneurship, without abandoning the human and spiritual values that form
the foundation of its development.
In a world marked by social
crises, economic challenges, and cultural shifts, these two pastoral couples
remind us that faith can be a driving force for resilience, that the family
remains an essential pillar of individual and collective well-being, and that
true leadership is measured as much by personal success as by the ability to
inspire, uplift, and positively transform the lives of others. Through faith,
family, leadership, and service, Yvan and Modestine Castanou, and Yves and Habi
Castanou, continue to inspire thousands of people across Africa, Europe, and the
entire Francophone world, leaving the mark of a lasting commitment to serving
God and society.
Together, they encourage a
faith that is expressed concretely in daily life, work, social engagement and
respect for human values.
ABOUT IMPACT CHRISTIAN CENTRE (ICC)
Impact Christian Centre
(ICC) is an international Christian movement founded in 2002 by Yvan and Yves
Castanou. The church has gradually grown in Europe and Africa, with major
branches in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Congo-Brazzaville,
particularly in Kinshasa and Brazzaville. Its vision is to develop men and
women capable of positively influencing their environment, for the glory of God
and the advancement of society. ICC emphasizes active faith, personal
transformation, and the development of Christian leadership. The movement is
led in part by the pastoral couple Yvan and Modestine Castanou, as well as by
Yves and Habi Castanou for the Congo branch. The church focuses on biblical
teaching, spiritual growth, and supporting its members in their daily lives.
A significant moment in its
development is the inauguration in 2023 of the Cité Royale, a large campus
located in Croissy-Beaubourg (France), designed as a center for worship,
conferences and community activities that can accommodate several thousand
people.
This project illustrates
ICC's ambition to become a major space for gathering, training, and influence.
Today, ICC widely disseminates its teachings through online services and
encourages its members to live an engaged, structured, and transformative
faith. The Church presents itself as a "representation of the Kingdom of
God on earth," where believers are trained to become ambassadors for
Christ in all areas of society.
